New Yam Festivals/Iri Ji Ohuru
The Iri Ji Ohuru or Iwa Ji, is the cornerstone of the Igbo agricultural calendar and a profound celebration of life, bounty, and community gratitude. Held typically between August and October, it marks the official end of the farming season and the joyful consumption of the newly harvested yam crop – considered the king of crops in Igboland.
Owu cultural Dance
Owu refers to a traditional masked dance performed by the Isu people in Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria The Ọwụ cultural dance is a powerful and energetic performance . Characterized by its vigorous movements, intricate footwork, and dynamic drumming patterns, Ọwụ embodies strength, valor, and communal spirit.
